Clarification on the Bella Picture....

Since there seems to be some confusion about the Bella picture...let me explain (and this is all in good fun). A couple of you have been wondering where I went to get Bella's picture taken....I didn't have to go too far. I just walked into her bedroom. :)

Yes that's right..I took the picture. I know some of you have heard me say how I don't take portraits or have been too afraid to take them, but I figured I would give it a shot and that is the picture that came of it.

So now you know.

Picture...

This picture is for everyone who wants one. I personally think it is one of the cutest pictures of Bella that I have seen in a long time. Make sure you click on the picture and then download it. And if that doesn't work then tell me and I will email it to everyone.

December

So here it is...DECEMBER ALREADY!!! I can't believe how fast this past year has gone by. It seems like I took a nap and the whole year has just passed me by. But I am happy that it is Christmas time again (even though I am NOT close to done with shopping...seeing as how I haven't even started yet. :)) Well I'm making this one short. It's my nap time. :) (and yes I know it is only 8AM). LOL

Thanksgiving 2006

So here it is another holiday and I'm stuck at work. And on top of that this last week we switched to a new schedule that has YET to have an ontime departure. I am hopeing I will be able to get out of Cedar around 2pm, so I can drive up to Holden, see my family, and then drive back to Cedar to go to work the next morning at 5AM. (Sounds like fun, huh?) Let's just say I'm not too impressed with Mesa Airlines/U.S. Airways Express and their new flight schedule. And for those who don't know it (which is everyone) here it is:

Mon - Fri
Flight 4770 to SLC departs 0625
Flight 4773 to ELY departs 1130
Flight 4772 to LAS departs 1340
Flight 4774 to SLC departs 1355
Sat
Flight 4770 to SLC
Flight 4773 to ELY
Flight 4772 to LAS
Sun
Flight 4773 to ELY
Flight 4772 to LAS
Flight 4773 to SLC

Now I know you're probably thinking, "Why would they fly to Ely?" and let me answer you this......NOBODY from Cedar HAS yet. All we are is a stop for the Vegas people on the way to Ely. And what happens with the Ely people (since there are no TSA screeners in Ely) is that they fly to Cedar, deplane, and then go check in with the airline here and then we run them through security so they can go on to Vegas. It's kind of a hassle and that's the flight that has been causing all our problems. Not because of Ely or anything, but because of where that plane originates in the morning...MERCED, CA! The big deal with Merced is that unless there is some weather system or something going through their valley then EVERY morning it is covered in a thick blanket of fog, which stops the plane from taking off ontime.

Anyway, I think I have rambled on enough already. Hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving so far...we have yet to see if I will even GET a Thanksgiving.

Much love,
Chad

My Drive Home

Well after attending one of the "most exciting" training classes at my work...I headed down to St. George for a chiropractor's appointment. I found out that instead of the 60 degree curve (that I should have in my neck) I have about a 19 degree one, THUS creating a lot of stress on my brain stem and neck muscles. And I hate to say it but I think that the cost of getting the problem fixed is just too high, when you take into account that I would have to drive to St. George and then the $1650 that it would cost for the actual sessions. After that I went to dinner with Krissy and Bella at Cafe Rio.

As I was driving up I-15, around 7:15pm, the car in front of me suddenly veered off the road. I quickly pulled off the road and called 911. Then ran out to his car to see if he was okay (there was only one person in the car). He couldn't have been much older than me. He was extremely non-responsive but was still breathing. He was also holding his neck. I didn't see any bleeding on him. I stayed with him until the cops got there around 7:30pm. On my way back to one of the officer's cars to fill out a witness statement, the officer and I noticed that the guy took out a speed limit sign. I finished filling out my report and then waited there until the ambulance pulled away. Then I noticed a sharp pain in my leg. Turns out that while I was running through the brush my leg got all cut up.
I hope the guy turns out okay. He was pretty shaken up. Anyway, that's my wonderful evening.

Chad

A Headache a Day........

So if you will all remember about my REALLY bad headaches that I used to get about 4-5 years ago, you will remember that they used to practically knock me out of commission. Well, they came back about a year ago and have been gradually getting worse and worse. So this last week I went to a chiropractor in St. George to see what he had to say about it, so for $20 I got a initial consult and he took some xrays. This Wednesday I am going to be going over my xrays with him to see what else he has to say about it. Mainly to see if my posture problems are muscular or skeletal. I will fill you all in later. But that's enough of that.

I hope everything is going well with everyone.
Much love,
Chad

Halloween 2006

Bella had lots of fun on Halloween this year. She dressed up as a lovely "Sleeping Beauty". Everyone she hugged was left with a "sparkling aura" around them (aka Glitter Everywhere).

We went out to Tonya's and went Trick or Treating with the cousins for about a half hour or so (which is PLENTY of candy for a 3 yr old). We then went to Chili's and had dinner with Scott and Becki. Bella was extremely hyper late last night, she was spinning around singing, "I love candy, Yes I do, I love candy, Yes I do". It was kinda funny and she hadn't even eaten that much of her candy. She was just being a cute little girl.

I hope everyone else's Halloween went just as great as ours did. I also hope Ashton had a great birthday and got lots of cool presents.

Much love to everyone,
Chad & Bella

SNOW

So Bella and I wake up this morning and what should we see outside but SNOW!!! That's right....the first snowfall of the winter season. Bella was pretty excited to see it. Not much is going on here this week. Just chillin' at home and such. I hope everyone is having fun preparing for Halloween. That will be creeping up on us here pretty soon. As will the "changing of the clocks". Not so sure how I'm gonna feel about going to work after that happens. Sure it will be like gaining an hour, but still going to work at 5 in the morning just makes you stop and think, "WHY am I up?"

St. George Visit

Well yesterday I went down to St. George and had a nice visit with Tonya's clan, Dad and Pam, and Anissa's twosome...it was good to see everyone. Bella had fun playing with the cousins and jumping on the trampoline.

I had my "end of the year" review yesterday at work. According to my scores and everything else we figured I should be getting about a 7-7.5% pay raise in Jan. Not too shabby.

Hope everything is going well with everyone. Have a good one.

Much Love,

Friday the 13th

Happy Friday the 13th to everyone. I have NEVER been so happy for this day to come (the only reason being that it is NOT the 12th, which SUCKED). So I got up to go to work yesterday at 4:30AM and due to crew and plane issues I was at work until 12:30pm. So I went home for my little break until 3:45, when I headed back to work for the night flight. And the plane, after being delayed so much this morning, decided that it was gonna toy with us and break in Vegas. So I ended up working until about 9:30pm. So that is why I am so glad that it is not yesterday.

Hope everyone is having a great 13th...much love

Mom's Roof Is........

FINALLY DONE!!! My mom and I got started this morning getting her roof done. We were resealing it with an aluminum roof sealant. It didn't take as long as we thought it would, but that is a good thing. (We may not have done it quite the way we were supposed to, but we are done and that is the most important thing). I know after you all read Anissa's blog that you are gonna give me crap for not having as many blogs as her this month, so if you can (which I know you won't be able to) refrain from making some smart-ass comment about it.

Hello October

Just wanted to put down a quick note...I don't have bella this week, cuz Krissy is going to Denver for two weeks on Sunday to train for her new job. So she won't get to see Bella for two weeks. But I did get to see Bella on Sunday. I went up the canyon with Krissy, Bella, and some of Krissy's family. It was fun. We had lunch and went on a little mini hike up to the kids' pond at Woods Ranch. That is pretty much all that has been happening. So talk to you all later.

New Work/Krissy Surgery

Just to inform those few that read this thing. I have posted a new "work in progress" on my other page. My friend in D.C. wanted me to tell her a story and this is what I have come up with. I am still working on the other part/s so bear with me.

Also, last week Krissy was not feeling well on...Thursday night(could have been Wed. night). Well she ended up going to the emergency room that night and found out she had an infected gall bladder. Well she went to see a specialist the next day and was told that she wouldn't be able to get scheduled for a surgery until October. So she was just going to bear it (with the help of some pain medicine) until that time. Well I got a call from her Aunt Lori on Saturday afternoon saying that Krissy is in the emergency room again but this time they are going to operate and take out her gall bladder. So I call down to Scott and Becki's to see what's going on and I got to talk with Scott (he was watching Bella). He told me that they were just waiting for her to be able to get in there. Well not much after that I got a call from Becki saying that Krissy just got out of surgery and was in recovery. So I went to bed hoping she was okay. Well the next day I got a call from krissy herself and she told me everything went fine and that she was just chillin' at her parents' house until she got better. So I went down and saw her and picked up Bella. So that is what happened this last weekend.

well I hope all is well with you other folk.

Much love,
Chad

Newest Family Member

So here is Bella's first pet. Her papa Scott bought it for her up at Oktoberfest and YES Bella named him Chucky or Mr. Krabs. We aren't sure yet. We will just call him Mr. Chucky Krabs. Bella likes looking at him but she won't hold him in her hand. He is staying with me but he will be moving down to Krissy's shortly. It is WAY too cold here for him.

Hope you all enjoy the pic.

SkyFest 2006

So this morning I went to Cedar City's 2nd Annual SkyFest. I woke up at 5:30 and took a shower. The festivities were supposed to start at 6:30. Well silly me actually thought that something would start on time here in Cedar. I arrived at Bicentennial Park around 6:15. There were only about 10 people or so there (NONE of them were the balloon people). So I sit down on this rock next to the trail that goes behind the ball fields when I notice that my batteries are about to die. OOPS!! Well I figure I would have enough time to home and get some more batteries and make it back before they have made too much progress with the balloons. So I went home and when I made it back around 7 the trucks were just starting to pull onto the field to get the baskets prepared for flight. So I timed that pretty good. I started snapping some photos while they were filling up the balloon with the hot air. (I will post some pics on my FLICKR page). There were supposed to be about 16 balloons this morning. I only saw about 5 or 6 take off though, cuz by the time they were taking off my hands were pretty much numb. Well I hope you enjoy the pics and I will talk with you all later.

Much love,
Chad

W....W.......Wednesday

Well I spent the morning playing with Bella. She played "the Marble game" again. She loves playing that game. Then we went down to St. George for the afternoon. I spent a couple of hours at Tonya's house and Bella always loves hanging out there. She would have stayed the night if we would have let her.

I am still trying to decide what to do for my vacation. I have thought about going out and getting some pics of some other local places that my friends have talked about. So we will see and then this weekend is Cedar City's 2nd Annual SkyFest. I am going to get out there and try to get some good shots of the hot air balloons. Should be fun.

Well it is late and I should be asleep. So....

Update Shmupdate!

So you all want a brief glimpse into the life of Chad eh? Well, I have officially cancelled my trip to Arizona. There are two main reasons why I did so...1) My enging has started to make a knocking sound. It is off and on right now and I am taking my car in next week to figure out what it is exactly and 2) Seeing as how Bella just barely got back from a long trip I don't quite think she is up for another one so soon. She had an especially rough time on the way home from California. I promise to make it down that way sometime soon.

Also, tonight Marchelle and I went to see The Illusionist with Edward Norton and Jessica Biel and Paul Giamatti. I must say this is one of the better films that I have seen as of late. I really enjoyed it. Go see it, you may enjoy it as well.

So other than that not much is going on. I get Bella tomorrow and that is always exciting for me. I love our time together and miss her whenever she is gone.

Much Love,
Chad

Bella Playing Xbox 360

Click the link below to watch my daughter play on the Xbox 360. Gotta start 'em out young.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVkngbLsHa0

Pass This Movie...

So Marchelle and I went to see PULSE today. Don't bother. Unless you wanna sit through an hour and a half of BOREDOM. Wait...I take that back. There were some pretty humorous parts in it...only cuz the people act so freakin' cheezy. So keep your money in your pocket.

I took Bella back to Krissy's last night then afterwards I went to see Tonya. My visit ended up being about 3 hrs long. I wasn't quite expecting to stay that long, but I had fun. She showed me her new game table (she is quite proud of it...as shown in HER blog). She fed me some chili...it was very good(I don't know what "spices" Taylor was having troubles with, but to each their own, I guess).

Well I hope all is going well with the rest of you.

Much love,
Chad

Blog Cheat

The following story is from an adventure I had on Saturday (August 12, 2006). Tonya wanted a new post so I am just bringing everyone up to date:

I went on a hike with my friend from work Casey. We went up Kanarraville Canyon. It was a nice little slot canyon that had a good amount of water coming down it. Now stupid me was like, "Oh, let me take some pics while we are up there". Not thinking about the fact that I don't have a bag to carry my camera in. So about 1/2 mile into this trail you come to a waterfall. The first one's not so bad. You just climb up this old tree that has some 2x4s nailed to it. But the second one...ah yes the second waterfall....now there was some trouble. I had to put my camera into my shirt pocket so I could use both of my hands to climb this crappy looking rope ladder. Well I take two steps up the ladder and most of me is soaked already. So I notice this log that is leaning up against the waterfall and just start climbing that. Well, my camera actually came out of that pretty much dry. So that made me happy. We hiked quite a ways up this little canyon and the walls of this canyon went up like 500-600 feet. They were crazy tall. When we started getting tired we stareted heading back down. It wasn't too bad of a hike. I should have taken some water though. I was thirsty as hell by the time we got back to town 3 hrs later.

Ode to Anissa's Blog!

Your Blog Is Dead
(Sung to the tune of "Pore Jud is Daid" from Oklahoma!)

Your blog is dead.
Your sad blog is dead.
All gather round it's coffin now and cry.
In it, you did foretold,
Then it started to get old.
Oh, why did such a blog have to die?

Hope you enjoyed. MUCH LOVE, CHAD

Days Off

I am very much so looking forward to my days off. Bella is going to see Grandma and Papa Great for a few days. So I am just going to lounge on my butt and not worry about anything. Yay for me. Yesterday I went up Beaver Canyon for the first time EVER. I liked it. I couldn't believe how much more green it is up there than it is up Cedar Canyon. The main reason being that the "bark beetle" hasn't killed the majority of the trees up that canyon. I may have to explore it more at a later date. My friend Marchelle took me up there to see what it looked like. It was a fun date. She made fried chicken and potato salad and we had watermelon and cantaloupe for dessert. It was pretty good.

That is all I have to say for this blog. Hope to hear from more of you on this one. :-D

New Story Posted

Hey everyone, just thought I would drop you a little line and tell you how things are going. First off, Bella is here with me and as always we are having a blast. Next week she is going to spend some time up at Grandma's and the Great's house. They want to see her and I figure since school is starting back up this would be the perfect time for her to go see them again. And then again on the 18th she is going to spend the weekend with them again while Krissy and her mom go to their "ladies' outing" up in Salt Lake. We appreciate them watching her so I don't have to take any work off.

And as for the title of this blog...I have posted a new story (old story, new post) for everyone to read. Click HERE to read. I need to develop it a little more, but it isn't a bad beginning to some sort of short story. If you have any ideas on how to improve it or maybe even some *cough, cough* illustrations *cough, cough*. That last comment was directed at a CERTAIN family member who I shall not name. :-) That would be a great help. LOL.
Don't forget to leave your comments on what you liked or disliked about the story. I need some constructive HONEST criticism. Thanks everyone.

My love to all,
Chad

The REUNION

Well I went to my 10 yr. reunion on Monday and I have to say I had a blast. It was great seeing all my old friends. The evening started with a little mingling from everyone. Then we feasted on some dutchoven chicken and potatoes, rolls, and a salad. And for dessert they served up some yummy dutchoven peach cobbler. After dinner, we did the "stand up and tell us about yourself" speeches. It was good to hear that everyone was doing pretty well for themselves. Then we had drawings for donated gifts. And then the next 3 people to plan our 15 yr reunion got picked. They should do a great job though. Then it was time for pictures and we felt like we were in front of a pack of paparazzi. Lights flashing everywhere. It was a fun time. People started trickling away around this time and a few of us continued talking and ctaching up on things. I got home around 11pm. I am excited to see if more people show up for the 15 yr reunion. We had about 36 of 96 graduates show up. So not too bad of a showing. I will see if I can get some pics and I will post them so you can see who all showed up.

Much love,
Chad

Happy Father's Day 2006

Well it's Father's Day and I am excited to get to see Bella for at least a little while this week. I can't say that I have too much planned for Father's Day though, just working and picking up Bella later tonight. But I am sure that it will be a good day anyway.

Happy Father's Day to my dad, Roger. I don't think I could ask for a better dad. You are always there for me when I need you to be(and sometimes even when I don't. j/k). It will be nice to have you closer to the rest of the family. Bella will be excited to see more of you and Pam.

Anyway, I should try and do SOMETHING today in between flights. We'll see what happens though. Have a great day everyone and talk to you all soon.

Much Love, Chad

Hello Again!

Well we are excited to get up to Lagoon again this year. It should be lots of fun. It'll be nice to see (almost) everyone again. Also, I am going to go to dinner with an old friend from high school. Haven't seed her in like 11 yrs or so. So it will be good to catch up on the happenings of our lives. (Nothing romantic, just friends).

Anyways, Bella and I are sitting here trying to decide what to do today. Well, have a great rest of the week.

Self-admitted SLACKER

I didn't realize how long it has been since I posted something. Sorry about that. Well let's see.....Tonya is going to watch Bella for me over the next two days..(thanks again Tonya). Bella is going to have a blast with the girls. Not much else is going on...I passed my annual recertification tests. I failed one, but it was for a couple of minor things. Um....got the oil changed in my car...(Now THERE is some excitement).

Well I will try and do better this next month. Love to all, Chad

MayDay

Last night was not a pleasant night. Bella started throwing up around 7pm and she pretty much kept throwing up until around midnight. And the very last time she threw up she sat up from leaning over the toilet and said (in a happy voice), "That was FUN!!!" What a weirdo child I have. This morning she didn't get out of bed until around 930AM and she has been acting okay, so hopefully no more throwing up today. We will see.

I have Part One of my annual testing coming up at work tomorrow. I am not too worried though. It is just a test on the S.O.P. and an x-ray image test. Shouldn't take too long. In two weeks, we will be having the hands-on testing, where we have to wand someone and go through all the types of bag searches. Yet again, shouldn't be too bad...been doing this for 3.5 years now. I would hope that I know what I am doing now.

Well I better get back to my little sickly bug and make sure she is okay.
Much love,
Chad

Do be do be doo

Well I have had a request for more pictures to be put up, but I have yet to buy my own camera. The one that I was going to buy last year has dropped in price so I am thinking about purchasing it soon (now that I have a FULL-TIME job). But as soon as I buy it I will go picture crazy and take pics whenever I can. Not much else is happening, things are a little hectic with it being so close to finals for Krissy, but Bella is handling it like a pro. That is about all I have to report on.

Much love,
Chad

p.s. Dad, I found online that they have a Rube Goldberg competition every year. They give the competitors an objective to complete. I haven't found a way to download that one video, but I am still looking.

Anje Look A Like

Does anyone else think that this looks a LOT like Anje? Or even Anissa as a little girl? It is on the front of the Easter card I got from Dad and Pam. Kinda freaked me out.....more so than the bunny that was standing behind her. LOL

Early Easter REDUX

Well an early Easter came for Bella this year. We decided to celebrate with her today since she will be spending the remainder of the week with my mom. Last night we colored our Easter eggs. Bella had a great time with that. She has been really excited to open her Strawberry Shortcake themed basket. She is also very excited to be able to see most of her cousins this weekend. She loves spending time with them. Well I need to go and get something done today(besides work I mean).

Love to all,

Has Hell Frozen Over???

Well I believe it has....I am actually going FULL-TIME at my job. It only took 3 and a half years to get them to do it. And the best part is....I will be working fewer days. SWEET!!!! That is the biggest news here. Hope everything is going well with everyone else. HASTA LA PASTA!!

Bella's Growing Up Fast

Well as you can see, Bella is growing up fast. One day they can barely walk and the next day they are driving like Mario Andretti. She was weaving in and out of traffic like the best of drivers. She must have been paying attention when I was driving. Well I hope you all enjoy this picture. Talk with all of you later. Much Love, Chad

Bella

Well Bella is here again chillin' at my house. We have her bike with us so she can go riding in the parking lot. She is still doing her breathing treatments. Hopefully, this will subside soon. I am still busy burning DVDs always a good time. I got to talk with Bryan the other day on Yahoo Messenger. So all of you family members who don't use Yahoo....START USING IT!!! Talk to you all later.

Long Lost Friends

Well, after 6 months, I have finally been able to see my great friends, Dez and Geoff. They came up to Cedar for a little break from the....um, great weather in Arizona. I guess this was their thought, "Hey let's leave this sunny wonderful place and head to Utah, where we will get dumped on by over a foot of snow."

All I am saying, bad timing, but it was great to see them. We went to IHOP for breakfast. It was fun. Dez's brother Chase and his wife Jenny were there as well. Bella was being entertaining as usual. She loves them all.

I have to go to work now. So I hope that all of you have a great weekend and BYE.

POST (also the name of cereal brand)

Well, everyone is asking about Bella so here is it...she is doing great. We have had her on a nebulizer for the last month trying to fix something in her lungs. She had a persistent cough for about 2 months and we just couldn't get rid of it. But we went back to the doctor on Tue. and she said that her lungs sounded very good. She will have to be on the nebulizer for another week, but then she should be good to go. She is still using the bathroom like a pro. We don't even have to ask her anymore. She just goes whenever she has to. She keeps me entertained whenever she comes to visit.

As for me, not much has been going on. Just working and playing. That's about it. Looking forward to those Girl Scout Cookies from Taylor. YUMMY!!!

Love you all,
Chad

Long Lost Friends

Well I have spent the greater part of the last week trying to find my old friends and collect all their email addresses. I have found quite a few of them. Some live in Oregon now, others over by Washington D.C. and even some a block away from my mom. Kinda crazy that we are spread out all over this crazy place. It is good to talk with them again. I have missed many of them. My graduating class's 10 yr reunion is this year. Most of the people I have been talking to are really excited to go. Reed will probably not be able to make it though. Which is sad. anyways, I hope everyone is having a great time with their moving into new houses, trying to get out of old ones, and just travelling in general.

Love you all,
Chad

p.s. I hope this post will satisfy my sister's craving for a "real" blog post from another family member. See Tonya, this one ACTUALLY contains a bit of something that is going on in my life.

Here it is.......a February Post

Hey everyone, here is the first post for February 2006. A few things to talk about...hopefully you have all noticed the picture..that is my new baby. LOL

Next, we celebrated Bella's birthday last Saturday and had a blast. She had two parties in the same day. She spent the morning with my family and in the afternoon she had a party with Krissy's family and myself. I couldn't make it to the morning one. OH HAPPY DAY!!!

So this post is a few days late, but when I tell you why I am so happy...you will understand. I have FINALLY recieved my Xbox 360!!! It is awesome. I have it setup so that I can stream music and pictures from my computer and view them on the tv. If I owned a computer that was running Windows XP Media Center Edition than I could actually stream video, tv, music, and pictures. I LOVE IT! By far the best console I have ever owned. I may even put up some pictures of my new baby. LOL

Love to all,
Chad

by the way...just a little side note...if you haven't heard the song "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt. You need to find it (BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY) and listen to it. Great Song! BYE

Much love to all...Love Chad

I am still alive...

Yes people..."I am not dead yet...I think I'll go for a walk now". Thanks for checking in on me but I am fine and haven't curled up into a ball to die on my bed. I was just taking a nap and ignored my phone. So there :-P

Anyway, new year's was fun...bella and I had a blast. She is excited to be having a sleepover with Anje tonight. They will have fun I am sure. Sorry I can't make it to the baptism...I have to work though. Gots to pay the bills.

Have a great day, BYE
