Thanksgiving 2006

So here it is another holiday and I'm stuck at work. And on top of that this last week we switched to a new schedule that has YET to have an ontime departure. I am hopeing I will be able to get out of Cedar around 2pm, so I can drive up to Holden, see my family, and then drive back to Cedar to go to work the next morning at 5AM. (Sounds like fun, huh?) Let's just say I'm not too impressed with Mesa Airlines/U.S. Airways Express and their new flight schedule. And for those who don't know it (which is everyone) here it is:

Mon - Fri
Flight 4770 to SLC departs 0625
Flight 4773 to ELY departs 1130
Flight 4772 to LAS departs 1340
Flight 4774 to SLC departs 1355
Sat
Flight 4770 to SLC
Flight 4773 to ELY
Flight 4772 to LAS
Sun
Flight 4773 to ELY
Flight 4772 to LAS
Flight 4773 to SLC

Now I know you're probably thinking, "Why would they fly to Ely?" and let me answer you this......NOBODY from Cedar HAS yet. All we are is a stop for the Vegas people on the way to Ely. And what happens with the Ely people (since there are no TSA screeners in Ely) is that they fly to Cedar, deplane, and then go check in with the airline here and then we run them through security so they can go on to Vegas. It's kind of a hassle and that's the flight that has been causing all our problems. Not because of Ely or anything, but because of where that plane originates in the morning...MERCED, CA! The big deal with Merced is that unless there is some weather system or something going through their valley then EVERY morning it is covered in a thick blanket of fog, which stops the plane from taking off ontime.

Anyway, I think I have rambled on enough already. Hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving so far...we have yet to see if I will even GET a Thanksgiving.

Much love,
Chad

My Drive Home

Well after attending one of the "most exciting" training classes at my work...I headed down to St. George for a chiropractor's appointment. I found out that instead of the 60 degree curve (that I should have in my neck) I have about a 19 degree one, THUS creating a lot of stress on my brain stem and neck muscles. And I hate to say it but I think that the cost of getting the problem fixed is just too high, when you take into account that I would have to drive to St. George and then the $1650 that it would cost for the actual sessions. After that I went to dinner with Krissy and Bella at Cafe Rio.

As I was driving up I-15, around 7:15pm, the car in front of me suddenly veered off the road. I quickly pulled off the road and called 911. Then ran out to his car to see if he was okay (there was only one person in the car). He couldn't have been much older than me. He was extremely non-responsive but was still breathing. He was also holding his neck. I didn't see any bleeding on him. I stayed with him until the cops got there around 7:30pm. On my way back to one of the officer's cars to fill out a witness statement, the officer and I noticed that the guy took out a speed limit sign. I finished filling out my report and then waited there until the ambulance pulled away. Then I noticed a sharp pain in my leg. Turns out that while I was running through the brush my leg got all cut up.
I hope the guy turns out okay. He was pretty shaken up. Anyway, that's my wonderful evening.

Much Love,
Chad

A Headache a Day........

So if you will all remember about my REALLY bad headaches that I used to get about 4-5 years ago, you will remember that they used to practically knock me out of commission. Well, they came back about a year ago and have been gradually getting worse and worse. So this last week I went to a chiropractor in St. George to see what he had to say about it, so for $20 I got a initial consult and he took some xrays. This Wednesday I am going to be going over my xrays with him to see what else he has to say about it. Mainly to see if my posture problems are muscular or skeletal. I will fill you all in later. But that's enough of that.

I hope everything is going well with everyone.
Much love,
Chad

Halloween 2006

Bella had lots of fun on Halloween this year. She dressed up as a lovely "Sleeping Beauty". Everyone she hugged was left with a "sparkling aura" around them (aka Glitter Everywhere).

We went out to Tonya's and went Trick or Treating with the cousins for about a half hour or so (which is PLENTY of candy for a 3 yr old). We then went to Chili's and had dinner with Scott and Becki. Bella was extremely hyper late last night, she was spinning around singing, "I love candy, Yes I do, I love candy, Yes I do". It was kinda funny and she hadn't even eaten that much of her candy. She was just being a cute little girl.

I hope everyone else's Halloween went just as great as ours did. I also hope Ashton had a great birthday and got lots of cool presents.

Much love to everyone,
Chad & Bella
