The Beginning

Well quite a bit has happened since my last post. The most important of which happened most recently. :)

I GOT MARRIED!!! I am now the husband to the most wonderful woman on the planet. Lynn and I couldn't be happier with how smoothly things went with the wedding and "reception". All the things we were worried about before the ceremony seemed to just take care of themselves (thanks to friends and family, of course). We were also very glad that the pool area didn't have the music blaring like when we toured the area a few months ago.

I have posted the video of the ceremony on my Facebook page, if you'd like to check it out.

Our honeymoon in Hawaii was absolutely PERFECT! I can definitely see myself going back there as soon as possible. We were only a few hundred yards away from the beach and a lot of good eating was near our hotel as well (Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang's, RM Yogurt). We never did find any good seafood places though, which was kind of sad.

For those that don't know, we stayed in Waikiki at the Ohana Beachcomber. We mostly enjoyed the hotel (except for the devilish elevator system). Seriously the WORST elevators I have ever been on. :|

We did a tour of Pearl Harbor and Honolulu City. It was a pretty informative tour. Cousin Oscar (our driver) was pretty funny and had great info on everywhere we passed. We also got to drive through the "Punchbowl" which is a cemetery up on one of the mountains. We definitely want to go back once they finish with the remodeling of the Pearl Harbor visitor center area. There was a lot of construction going on and so we didn't get the "full" experience.

We are also BIG fans of the Trolley system they had there. It was great to be able to just hop on a trolley and be taken to all the big shopping areas in Waikiki and Ala Moana (Lynn ESPECIALLY loved that part about the transit system).

On Saturday, we ended up renting a car and heading up to the North Shore and around the rest of the island. It was very beautiful and next time we will definitely take more time going around that part of the island.

The one thing we are NOT fans of was all the one-way streets and crazy parking situations that Honolulu presents to its drivers. Crazy stuff!

Thanks again to everyone who was able to attend the wedding. We loved having you all there and can't wait until we can get everyone together again.

Much Love,
Chad & Lynn
